Rags to Riches, with Garrett Gomez, wins the Kentucky Oaks in May at Churchill Downs. Rags to Riches went to win the Belmont Stakes in June, too.

Belmont champion Rags to Riches was part of a stellar 3-year-old class.

In 2007, a jinx was squashed in the Kentucky Derby, 3-year-old Curlin followed up a Preakness win with a Breeders’ Cup Classic title and the filly Rags to Riches beat the boys in the Belmont. Story

2007 Breeders' Cup Classic winner Curlin is directed to the winner's circle at Monmouth Park in October.

A decision is expected soon on plans for reigning Classic champ Curlin.

Still training with Steve Asmussen at Fair Grounds, the future of likely Horse of the Year Curlin has not been declared, but a decision may come “in the near future.” Story

Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company has announced that a policy regarding exogenous anabolic steroids will be implemented beginning with the 2008 February Sale of Selected Two-Year-Olds in Training. OBS has taken the position that no exogenous anabolic steroid be administered within 45 days of sale. more
