Weather may force Under Tack Show postponement

Tuesday, April 14th, 2009

Ocala Breeders’ Sales Company may postpone the Under Tack Show for the 2009 Spring Sale of Two-Year-Olds in Training until Wednesday, April 15 at 8:00 a.m. if the expected stormy weather comes to the Ocala area on Tuesday. Conditions will be monitored overnight and a decision will be made by 7:00 a.m. Tuesday morning

“While our Safetrack surface can handle heavy rain, high winds and lightning are a threat to horses, riders and spectators,” said OBS general manager Tom Ventura. “If the storm system comes through our area as forecast with favorable conditions expected for the rest of the week, it would make sense to wait a day in the interest of safety and fairness to all.”
